Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour


The responsibilities of the restaurant supervisor involve the following:

  • Supervise, recruit and train front of house staff: bartenders, servers, hostesses, bussers, food runners;
  • Recommend menu adjustments based on customer feedback;
  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state liquor laws, hygiene, health and safety legislation/guidelines relating to cleanliness and safety for dining room and stairways;
  • Responsible for promoting and marketing the restaurant with administrative support provided for marketing strategy and implementation;
  • Oversee stock levels of durable supplies and assist with monthly inventory;
  • Order supplies;
  • Handle customer requests, inquiries, reservations, greeting, seating and service complaints;
  • Create, assist, coordinate, supervise and sell special and catered events/functions;
  • Administrative duties include processing employment applications, maintaining employee files and HR records;
  • Prepare and present staffing schedules;
  • Attend corporate meetings;
  • Implement training manuals and procedures; and
  • Open and close restaurant: hold pre-shift meetings; prepare closeout and financial reports.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. -required
  • College degree with emphasis in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism. -preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Restaurant Food Service.-required
  • Previous supervisory experience desired.
  • Must be able to operate Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. -required
  • Previous point-of-sales experience. -required
  • Must be able to professionally communicate in English, both written and verbal. -required
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in-person as well as over the telephone.-required
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. -required
